SEO / THE EVERYDAY TOOLKIT
Keyword Occurrence Counter.
Count exact word and phrase occurrences in a text draft. This is a free utility from my portfolio toolkit, with local browser processing and no account required.
Counts non-overlapping, case-insensitive token sequences. Reports occurrences divided by total word tokens. There is no recommended SEO density target.
SIMPLE BY DESIGN
How to use Keyword Occurrence Counter
- Enter a word or phrase and paste the text to inspect.
- Generate the count and percentage.
- Use the result to review clarity and repetition, not as a target to optimize toward.
Count repeated wording without chasing a ranking formula.
Search optimization starts with helping a reader, rather than reaching a keyword percentage. This counter finds exact, non-overlapping word or phrase token sequences after case normalization and reports occurrences per total word tokens. Use it to spot accidental repetition or check whether a draft mentions its central topic naturally. It does not score relevance, predict ranking, handle stemming or determine whether content answers a query well.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
A little more clarity.
What keyword density should I aim for?
This tool does not prescribe a target. Focus on useful, accurate content written naturally for the reader.
Is my input sent to a server?
No. This utility processes your input in your browser. URLs you paste are treated as data; the tool does not fetch them. Be careful with clipboard history on shared devices.
